Mining Division

Kalinga Commercial Corporation started its business in the year 1991 initially in the field of civil construction and gradually ventured into transportation sector.

It was our managing director’s vision to diversify into mining field due to the high potential in mining in the state of Orissa.

We started our mining activity with the OMC Ltd. in the year 2004 with a mere 4 lakh MT production and we have reached 5.56 Million Ton in the financial year 2009 – 10 and our target for 2010 – 11 is 6.2 Million MT of processed iron ore.

From the above graph it is evident that every year our productivity is substantially increased and we have achieved this due to the following:

  1. Micro analysis of each activity and necessary corrective actions.
  2. Selection of right equipment for each activity.
  3. Selection of right manpower.
  4. Team work.
